Lesson 4: finishing....

     Dear all:

As you know, we have been learning "Present perfect" and "time expressions", how they are related and how we can apply them in our speech. As I said in class, we are finishing our lessons that is why I asked you for a writing activity. First, I will add a link where you can find all what you need for the activity.
I will remind you about the aim of the activity, which is very simple but useful. You have to write a story (you choose the topic of it), obviously you need to put in practice our lessons. Surfing on the internet I found a good example of a story using "Present Perfect" and it can be a good guide for you. Do not forget that every activity is for your learning process, if you do this by heart you will notice a difference at the end of the course.
Finally, I am going to attach the worksheet that we saw in class and as a tradition, I will upload an image related to this. Be good, do your writing activity and study as good students. :)

Best,

Teacher Nicolle A.

Lesson 3....Let's practice!

     Dear all:

As we discussed  in class, you have to prepare a dynamic activity (role play, exposition, dialogue, song, etc...) which is going to be evaluated. Now, I am going to give you every detail related to the activity.

1. It can be in pairs or in groups of 3.
2. You can use any resource for your activity, because it has to be CREATIVE.
3. You must use "Present Perfect" and time expressions, of course!
4. Once you are done with it, you must send me the files to my e-mail.
5. The rubric is here! because you need to know what I am going to evaluate.
6. Please! Be responsible and use your IMAGINATION!
7. The most important, you have 1 week to be ready with this activity.

The aim of this, as I said in class, is to put in practice what we have learnt during classes. One of the best ways to learn is by doing or practising. It is going to be really fun! Just give the best and enjoy learning!.
Also, here I will add the worksheet that we used in class and you can visit this website which is useful for your assessment.
So, you just need to work and create. I will attach the image that we saw in class.....

**if you are a good cartoonist, it can help you!!....Your teacher is giving you an idea :)

Best,

Teacher Nicolle A.

Lesson 2 ....More about Present perfect!

Dear all:

Definitely, it was a funny class! You saw the uses of music in an specific content. In our case, we made a connection between music and present perfect. I know it can be a little difficult to understand at first, but we need to reinforce it doing exercises and one of my favorite activity is using songs.
In class, we listened to a Queen song called "We are the champions", but it was the Glee version. Through this song you could reinforce and improve what we have been learning during these classes. If you want to review and practice, here you have the handout used in class.
Also, I am going to add the ppt about "Time expressions" because it was kind of difficult to understand. It is going to be useful for your next assessment. Remember to bring to class a dialogue using "Present perfect". It can be in pairs and you need to give me a copy of your work.
Well, as you know you can send me an e-mail with doubts or questions about the class and the topic. Have a wonderful day! See you next class!!

Ps: Here some images about the grammar structure for "Present Perfect" and the "Time expressions"....They are a great help to your work!!

Lesson 1: Unit 4 (review)

Dear all:

Last class we started with Unit 4 related to music and how we can use it in the classroom as a tool, because it will be useful in the learning process. First, we started reviewing "past tenses" and their grammar rules, specially "Present perfect" which is going to be our topic for the next 4 lessons. Besides, we did a review about common irregular verbs.
Here I am going to add the table of common irregular verbs that we saw in class, the power point presentation (ppt) and a link from a website, where you can find the grammar rules of "Present perfect". Next class, I need you to bring the handout - uploaded here - solved, because it will help you to put in practice this content. So, Do not forget your homework!!

* If you have doubts or questions about your homework, Please! Send me an e-mail or put them down on your notebook for next class.

Regards,

Teacher Nicolle A.
